Configuration Manager – ServiceNow CMDB

About the assignment

Forsvarsbygg, the RES IT department, is seeking consultancy support in the form of a Configuration Manager for project 130027 – Professional IT with ServiceNow on an unclassified network. The aim is to ensure that the project is installed with the intended modules correctly and in line with requirements, and to establish and develop a CMDB with its associated elements.

This is a new role at Forsvarsbygg. The consultant will have full responsibility for setting up and developing the intended tasks.

Responsibilities

• Map the organisation's needs for CMDB and configuration management
• Develop the target vision for the CMDB, including what the CMDB will be used for and which processes it will support
• Design a training plan and training materials, and deliver training to the relevant teams
• Establish and maintain Forsvarsbygg's new CMDB through ServiceNow
• Ensure correct structure, quality and governance of configuration items (CIs), relationships and associated data in ServiceNow
• Overall responsibility for the quality, structure and management of Forsvarsbygg's CMDB and asset-related data
• Define roles and responsibilities related to the CMDB, including Configuration Manager, CI owners, data owners and process owners
• Ensure that CIs, relationships, ownership and relevant asset data are correctly registered and kept up to date
• Actively contribute to testing, data validation and maintenance routines related to CMDB and asset integrations
• Take part in design and configuration work related to CMDB, Discovery, Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management
• Assist with structuring the CMDB in line with ServiceNow's data model and relevant principles from CSDM
• Help define which configuration items, assets, data sources and relationships should be included in the solution
• Collaborate with subject-matter resources to ensure that the data model, data quality and management routines are supported

• Authorisation: Level B (Restricted)
• Security clearance: H (Secret) and NS (NATO Secret)
• The clearance process must start as soon as possible. The work can begin before clearance is in place.
• A confidentiality declaration is required.

• Work location: Grev Wedels Plass 5, 0151 Oslo, plus home office/supplier premises. Occasional presence at GWP approx. once every two weeks (to be factored into the hourly rate).
