System Developer – Tech Lead — further development of a reporting solution

About the assignment

Brønnøysundregistrene is seeking a senior system developer to act as tech lead/back-end developer in the further development of the reporting solution for BR's registers. The consultant will plan and organise the work of the development team, guide the team and ensure quality and progress, while also contributing to the development work themselves. The solution is based on a microservices architecture in Java/Spring Boot with Drools, running on OpenShift, and the work follows agile principles (Kanban/ScrumBan) using Jira and Confluence. The assignment requires security clearance at RESTRICTED (BEGRENSET) level and involves periodic travel to Brønnøysund.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership of the development team
• Become familiar with the agreed and established architecture and ensure that the team adheres to it
• Work with the team to understand requirements and design solutions
• Ensure the development team has a sufficient basis for developing system solutions
• Planning and allocation of development work
• Contribute to high code quality through code reviews and technical guidance
• Ensure good test coverage and contribute to a comprehensive test strategy
• Take part in deployment to production and operational follow-up of the solutions
• Identify and manage technical risk and contribute to continuous improvement
• Guide and support developers in the team and contribute to their professional development
• Coordinate technical activities and collaboration with related teams and projects

Required skills

• 3 years of relevant education in ICT
• Good oral and written Norwegian communication skills, minimum B2
• Solid experience of agile system development/methodology, system design, modelling and documentation
• 5 or more years of experience as a back-end developer with relevant technologies
• Experience of using AI tools
• Solid experience as a tech lead on IT development projects
