Network expert — Fortinet and secure infrastructure

About the assignment

Forsvarsbygg Ressurssenteret (Norwegian Defence Estates Agency) is seeking a network expert to help operate and secure complex network environments based on Fortinet products. The consultant will also contribute to automation using Jinja2 and APIs. The assignment places very high demands on security expertise, and the consultant must be eligible for security clearance to HEMMELIG and NATO SECRET. The work will take place at Forsvarsbygg in Oslo or Hamar and requires thorough documentation and a structured working method.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain complex network environments based on Fortinet products
• Automate network configuration using Jinja2 and APIs
• Document work continuously in Word, Visio, Netbox, Confluence or similar tools
• Contribute to securing classified ICT platforms
• Be available at short notice in the event of critical incidents

Required skills

• Documented expertise and experience with complex network environments and Fortinet network products
• Documented expertise and experience with Jinja2 and APIs
• Structured, with a strong ability to document in Word, Visio, Netbox, Confluence or similar
• Solid experience of securing classified ICT platforms
• Experience from and knowledge of the defence sector

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for security clearance to HEMMELIG and NATO SECRET
• Authorisation for information classified HEMMELIG and NATO SECRET, including signing a non-disclosure agreement
• The consultant must be proficient in Norwegian and English

Scope and location

• Workload: 40%
• 20–40% position, with the possibility of an increase if particular needs arise
• Start: 4 January 2027
